This canteen is inspired by historical wooden canteens used during the American Revolution. It features an American Bald Eagle with shield that was carved into the wood and accented by burning the carving.
It is lined with candle wax to seal it, as they did in the 18th century.
It is “bound” together with vines and features copper tacks on the face and back. The spout and stopper are hand turned on the wood lathe. It has a white leather strap.
The canteen holds 36 ounces. It measures 8″ across, 10″ tall and the strap, which is attached with brass tacks, is 36″ long.
Perfect for reenactments.
