Fleur di Lis Mug

$24.00

Louisville is named for King Louis XVI of France, for his support of the Patriots in the American Revolutionary War.  The fleur di lis was the crest of his court, and so was adopted as the symbol of Louisville.  (Despite it’s French origins, natives do not pronounce it “Lu-ee-ville,” like the French.  The local pronunciation is “Lu-ah-vul”).

The mug holds 16 ounces.

All pieces are ovenproof, dishwasher safe, microwavable and non-toxic.  All dimensions stated are average, and due to the nature of handcrafted pottery, may vary slightly with individual pieces.
