Finding Pottery Rowe

Pottery Rowe is located on historic Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky. Pottery Rowe is a two story Victorian-era house. I have my own small parking lot, so the building sets back, while the other businesses are right on the street.

- From Downtown
- Follow River Road east 1.2 miles. Frankfort Ave. is marked
with a special sign on the right, “Welcome to Historic Frankfort
Ave. Turn right onto Frankfort. The first two blocks are industrial.
We are 1.2 miles on the right. If you crossed the rail road track, you
missed it by 3 buildings.
- From St. Mathews (St. Mathews Station at the intersection of Breckenridge/Shelbyville Road)
- Go west on Shelbyville Road, staying in the right hand lane. Just past St. Mathews Station, the road forks, the left fork is Lexington Rd, the right fork is Frankfort Ave. Take the right fork (essentially, go straight).
Continue for 3 miles. The railroad track will parallel Frankfort Ave on the right. After 3 miles, the tracks will turn and cross Frankfort. After crossing over the tracks, Pottery Rowe is the third building on the left.
- From I 64 West
- Take the Mellwood exit. Turn right onto Mellwood (it is one way, so it's the only way you can turn). Go 1/2 block to the traffic light and turn right onto Frankfort Ave. Pottery Rowe is about 8 blocks on the right. If you crossed the rail road track, you missed it by 3 buildings.
- From I 64 East
- Take the Story Avenue exit. Story Ave. is one way, the wrong way, so you have to go around the block by turning left at the next light (Spring Street), go one block and then left at the next light (Mellwood Ave). Go back under I-64 and continue one block to the traffic light. Turn right onto Frankfort Ave. Pottery Rowe is about 8 blocks on the right. If you crossed the rail road track, you missed it by 3 buildings.
